I’m making this official.
This weekend, in collaboration with Extra Life, I will be doing a 25 hour charity gaming marathon to benefit the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
Formerly Children’s Memorial Hospital, this institution has had a profound impact on not only my own life, health, and wellbeing, but that of many, many other children. Children with scary stuff like cancer, cystic fibrosis, injuries from accidents are at Lurie Children’s whether or not their family is able to pay, and that is just awesome. So awesome, that we should make sure it keeps going!
So, here’s what’s going to happen:
Starting on Saturday, November 2 at 12am CST, I will be marathoning games for 25 hours, live streamed on twitch.tv, with the hope that you’ll donate a few bucks to the cause. Seriously, anything, absolutely any amount of money you can give will be super helpful and appreciated. All donations are tax deductible and all proceeds go to help kids! So, why not?
As for the content of the stream itself, it’s going to be a play through of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD. This is a game I’ve only played through once before, 10 years ago, so I’m definitely going to need some help if I’m going to finish it within those 25 hours, so make sure you tune in and throw me some hints!
Marathon starts at Nov 2 @ Midnight CST!
I’ll be reblogging this throughout the week. Help me spread the word!
